I LOVE food and always have. I just turned 30 and decided it's time to get healthier! I want to eliminate refined sugar from my diet completely along with less gluten and MSO. I've been exploring and experimenting with a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet (and seafood on occasion) since early November 2010. I want to transition into full vegetarianism and eventually become vegan. I decided that it would be easier for me to go in steps since I have horrible eating habits. For example, currently I'm finding it hard to give up things like cheese and other dairy products. Milk wasn't hard to get rid of for me as I've never really been obsessed with it and I drank it alone very rarely. I do find it hard to stop using creamer, sr. cream, cream cheese and butter.
I've discovered a couple alternatives throughout my short transition like nut butters, nut flours, seeds and stevia. I hope to continue finding more and more ways to enhance my eating habits while reducing all that bad fats and refined sugars.
